What are Annie Hugs?
Annie Hugs is a free encouragement service with three ways to spread a little kindness. Get a Daily Hug to receive one supportive message each day by SMS or email. Send a Hug to create a private link for someone specific — no enrollment required. Share a Hug to pick an approved Library message and post it publicly on social media.
How do daily Annie Hugs work?
You sign yourself up, choose SMS or email, select the kind of encouragement you prefer, and choose a local delivery time. Annie Hugs then sends one daily message around that time.
Do I have to share my phone number?
No. You can choose email instead of SMS and get your daily Hug from Annie Hugs without providing a phone number. Send a Hug and Share a Hug do not collect any contact information at all.
Is Annie Hugs free?
Yes. All three features — Get, Send, and Share — are free. If you choose SMS for your daily Hug, your mobile carrier's standard message and data rates may still apply.
Can I send a Hug to someone specific without signing them up?
Yes — that is what Send a Hug is for. Choose an approved Library message, and Annie Hugs creates a private link you share from your own device. The recipient clicks the link to read the message. Annie Hugs never collects the recipient's phone number or email address, and receiving a Hug link does not enroll them in daily messages.
Can I post a Hug publicly on social media?
Yes — that is what Share a Hug is for. Choose a public-ready Library message, then share it on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, or from your own device. No Annie Hugs account is required. Annie Hugs never posts on your behalf; Instagram opens separately and copies the message for you to paste.
How do I stop receiving Annie Hugs?
For SMS, reply STOP. For email, use the unsubscribe link. Every daily message also includes a private Preferences link where you can pause or stop delivery.
